Where It All Began

Muddy Lotus Studio started with a single goal — to create pieces that feel as meaningful as they are beautiful. What began as a personal journey through art and healing quickly grew into a full-on family affair, blending creativity, craftsmanship, and a love for intentional design. From custom signage and event details to personalized gifts and branding materials, everything we make is designed in-house, built with care, and rooted in the moments that matter most.Whether you're a small biz owner, a sentimental gifter, or planning something unforgettable — we’re here to bring your vision to life with warmth, detail, and artistry.

Meet the Team

Founder & Designer

Sami

Creative at heart and detail-obsessed, Sami is the artist and founder behind Muddy Lotus Studio. With a background in design and a deep love for storytelling through handcrafted goods, she brings every project to life — from concept to creation. She leads the studio’s product development, custom design work, and the ever-evolving collection of meaningful, modern keepsakes.

Woodworker & Builder

Jack

Jack (aka Sami’s brother) is the hands and heart behind the studio’s wood-based creations. From precision-cut signage to one-of-a-kind baby blocks and display pieces, he brings each design to life using sustainably sourced materials and a whole lot of skill.

Gardener

Sue

Sue (Sami and Jack’s mom) is the namesake and spirit behind the “Muddy Lotus” name — inspired by her garden where beauty grows from the mess. Her passion for plants, nature, and quiet resilience deeply influences the studio’s earthy, grounded aesthetic.

Why We Do This

We believe good design should feel like a reflection — of a moment, a person, a place, or a feeling. That’s what we try to make here: pieces that hold meaning and look beautiful doing it.
